Remote Workers are Happier, More Productive and Save You Money

A message from Paul Mahler, CEO Voice Carrier, LLC

We know remote workers work. We closed our offices several years ago. All our employees have worked remotely for years.

Many workers who call in “sick” aren’t sick. They are sick of their commute.

A recent study by Airtasker showed 1 in 4 people quit a job because their commute was too long. Workers save $94.23 a week, $4,523 a year, on gas. They got back 17 days of their life by not commuting. They are healthier because they exercise more.

Many would choose to work remotely instead of a pay raise. Another study showed 1/3 of those surveyed would take a pay cut to work remotely.

You can run an errand, take a child to the doctor, and come home and work again. People stop watching the clock as much. They don’t feel like they have to stop working right at five because they face a long commute.

Remote works save their companies millions of dollars a year. 95% of employers said they retain employees longer. According to Global Workplace Analytics, employers can save more than $11,000 per half-time telecommuter per year.

You can hire staff where wages are lower. They live better. You save more money.

Teleconferencing systems like zoom, skype, WebEx and Go to Meeting are essential, but they won’t do what you need and want in your business telephone system. In a following blog, I’ll tell you why.

If you can’t use your office telephone system right now, or if it won’t do something you need, please call sales at Sales 855-456-8647. Drew and his team will get you back up and running in 72 hours or less.

Voice Carrier is a licensed telephone company providing Better Phone Service to thousands of happy customers for over a decade—without us having an office!
